Brokerage Officer

Adkins & Cheurfi are searching for a Brokerage Officer for a role-based in the Cambridge.

Adkins & Cheurfi, on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council, are looking for a Brokerage Officer to contribute to the effective running of the team and office. As a Brokerage Officer you will be responsible for providing office administration, financial, management and supervision support services, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and enabling the Council to deliver a customer focussed service more effectively and efficiently.

These are full-time roles. Office is based in Stanton House, Cambridge, however, the roles would be partially working from home.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

• Respond to service requests for permanent nursing and residential care placements across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

• Respond to the need for managing block contacts with Providers and teams to ensure efficiency in care planning

• Negotiate and manage care placement prices with independent sector care homes

• Sourcing of Domiciliary Care packages across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

• Respond to queries, liaising with Officers, Managers and departments to ensure all advice and communication (telephone, letters, emails, face-to-face) is delivered to County Council standards and regulatory guidelines

• Responsible for overseeing document & data management (paper and electronic), including filing and distributing documents

• Oversee the collection, collation & manipulation of a wide range of information using CCC information systems, to generate reports, prepare letters, memos and documents

• Arrange meetings, training events and collect and organise all supporting materials, distributing agendas and minutes as required

• Undertake general clerical & administrative tasks and support the team and service as required

• Assist with monitoring and/or management of budgets in accordance with County council financial processes, systems and instructions as necessary

• Ensure that County Council financial processes and systems are complied with

• Provide discharge/new referrals information for management reports

• Oversee that meetings and events are properly planned and arrangements co-ordinated

Systems Support Officer

Adkins & Cheurfi are working on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council who are looking for a Systems Support Officer to contribute to the effective running of the business support team; to deliver a high quality, customer focussed service responding to queries; To help maintain the ERP systems we support, to ensure that these meet statutory requirements and customer needs.

This System Support Officer will be remote working from the start of the placement, and then a few days a week at the Council’s new site at Alconbury Weald. The position has the possibility of being extended/ becoming permanent after the initial 13 week period.

The Systems Support Officer team provides operational level, functional and technical support to users of the various LGSS ERP platforms, including but not limited to ERP systems. The team are responsible for maintaining system integrity, availability and robustness, support and enhancement of the existing ERP systems and development of new functionality.

 

A suitable candidate will:

  • Act as first point of contact for LGSS systems in order to help system users perform their tasks more effectively, referring difficult problems to Support Analysts as appropriate
  • Perform daily housekeeping activities which support the business processes
  • Assist with managing the call list including monitoring calls logged via Lets Go Direct and direct to the team inbox
  • Work as an effective team member assisting and supporting colleagues across the service as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely service delivery
  • Utilise effective communication and a proactive approach to ensure collaborative working with colleagues across Business Systems, and wider LGSS department e.g. User Admin, Helpdesk

About the job:

As an Isolation Support Advisor for Cambridgeshire County Council, you will carry out telephone interviews and provide advice on self-isolation and the sources of community support that are available for residents who have been identified as coming into contact with an individual who has tested positive for Covid-19.

You will work autonomously and need to be able to exercise judgment and questioning skills for this role. In some instances, you will need to be able to call upon your persuasion skills.

Remote working from home.

37 hours per week between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, flexible to work Monday – Sunday (Full-time)

16 hours per week between 9:00 am – 17:30 pm or 11:30 am – 20:00 pm – Saturday and Sunday only (Part-time)

15 hours per week between 17:00 to 20:00 – Evening shifts only (Part-time)

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Deliver an efficient and friendly telephone call handling service to provide accurate and consistent information and advice to residents who have been identified as meeting an individual who has tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Work autonomously and exercise a high degree of judgment, analysis, and fact-finding to ascertain where individuals have been. In some instances, information will be required to be teased from individuals, which will require persuasion and motivational skills.
  • Accurately Interpret information obtained during interviews with Covid-19 contacts to make appropriate decisions from a range of options, utilizing scripts, internal procedures, and guidance.
  • Promote, support, and encourage contacts to utilize digital systems and solutions wherever possible.
  • Utilize digital systems to their full potential to manage and respond to contact lists, maintain accurate records of conversations, and provide information as required.
  • Handle complaints and difficult customers in a calm and professional manner, ensuring customer focussed services, demonstrating initiative, diplomacy, and resilience in a demanding environment.
  • Manage a caseload effectively and prioritize key tasks to meet tight deadlines, whilst dealing with interruptions and conflicting demands arising from customer queries and incoming telephone calls, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved.

Qualifications/experience:

Experience of working in a customer service type role and or providing a service to the public as well as the ability to work independently and manage and prioritize your own workload is essential. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and confidently over the telephone with a wide range of people and have good computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly. We are seeking a diverse team and the ability to communicate in a minority community language would be welcomed.

Laptops will be provided. A reliable broadband connection is required to support cloud-based services including video conferencing and skype. Applicants must be flexible over the 7 days of service and across the operational hours. Occasional attendance at an office site may be required to collect equipment and complete some aspects of the induction/ training program.

Technical Project Manager- IT Local Authority

 

Previous Local Authority experience is essential

Job Purpose:

To provide project management and consultancy for a variety of IT projects within a Programme Management environment.  Ideally with experience of MS Dynamics.

To support this large programme of work we require a Project Manager who has a solid technical knowledge experience of delivering wide-ranging IT projects predominantly in Waterfall methodology.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Start up, run and see to completion assigned projects following the Council’s adopted methodology, PRINCE2.
  • Work with the project sponsor, project board, Programme Manager and IT Managers to confirm the definition of the project, assisting them where necessary, to produce an agreed Business Case and Project Initiation Document.
  • Draw up detailed plans for IT projects and agree the resourcing of those plans with the Project Board and with senior management.
  • Formulate and lead a project team to carry out the tasks and deliver the products defined in the plan.
  • Manage the tasks of the project team, suppliers, and Council staff outside the project team, reporting progress, risks, issues and exceptions regularly to the programme manager, project sponsor and project board.
  • Work with members of the project team to analyse and redesign IT related business processes, taking a lead role as required
  • Ensure that appropriate quality checks are designed and carried out for each of the deliverables of the project.
  • Work with the Programme Manager to ensure the activities in the project are co-ordinated with the other projects in the programme.
  • Review the outcomes of projects and make recommendations for the next steps.
  • Take a part in other projects, programmes and other work of the IT Services and Governance, Skills & Strategy teams as and when required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS  

 

Essential

  • PMP or Prince2 certification.
  • Proof of applying project management methodologies and tools across different projects and programmes.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification (preferably PRINCE2 Practitioner)
