The Main Responsibilities of this role will include:-

  • Supporting and assisting the WTP fee earners as far as is possible.
  • Responsible for audio and copy typing for WTP as well as processing all claims for client related expenses (obtain from fee earners on a regular basis) and personal expenses for members of the WTP team.
  • Overseeing & organising client appointments and arranging meeting rooms.
  • All general administration of all WTP files and maintain awareness of files so as to be able to take messages and update clients on the telephone as required.
  • General firm administration is part of the role and involves preparing and posting chitties, maintaining internal registers or storage of deeds and document

The ideall candidate will have experience working within a Wills, Trusts and Probate Team however any Legal Secretary experience would be considered ideally 1-2 years.

Leading North East Law Firm are looking to appoint an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy firm supporting the Wills & Probate Fee Earner.

  • You will need to be a well motivated individual and demonstrate initiative.
  • You will need to be an excellent communicator in how you work with both clients and colleagues.
  • Previous experience working within a Wills, Trust & Probate team would be ideal.
  • To have the confidence to inform the team leader of any serious problems you could encounter with client files.
  • You will need to be willing to attend and complete any relevant training as required.

Senior Legal Cashier

Looking to recruit a highly experienced Legal Cashier for a prestigious North East Law Firm to oversee a Finance Team.

Main Responsibiltites:-

1. To supervise banking functions including bank reconciliations.

2. Dealing with petty cash including monthly reconciliation.

3. To supervise and process client and office accounting transactions including postings.

4. Responsible for credit control, ensuring bills are paid within a timely basis.

5. To supervise and assist in the sending of monies by electronic transfer using Barclays Internet Banking.

6. To assist with the control of designated client deposit accounts including monthly reconciliation.
