Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner

Adkins and Cheurfi are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of of one of the North Easts leading law firms. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience and be driven, hardworking and confident in their role.

Main Responsibilities:-

  • Giving basic, clear advice on all aspects of conveyancing;
  • Maintaining client confidentiality at all times;
  • Using Ochre Soft Intelliworks ;
  • Opening and maintaining neat files in accordance with office procedures;
  • Confirming instructions and advice to clients in writing;
  • Conducting negotiations with other parties;
  • Managing your case load to ensure that cases are progressed, closed and billed as appropriate;
  • Referring matters to other practitioners within the firm as appropriate;
  • Undertaking training and developing;
  • Earn fees at a minimum of 3 times your salary per annum;
  • Ensuring that all time spent is recorded;
  • Ensuring adherence to AML and GDPR regulations at all times;
  • Any other tasks as required by the Directors commensurate with the role.

Residential Conveyancer

Adkins & Cheurfi are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a Prestigious North East Law Firm.

The Residential Conveyancer appointed will meet the following criteria:

  • Be qualified with a minimum of two-three years’ post-qualification experience in the field of residential conveyancing (Solicitor or CILEX);
  • Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixed residential property conveyancing caseload, with minimum supervision;
  • Be able to work independently but also with the other staff in the Conveyancing Team;
  • Be able to generate their own referrals in order to create a personal client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm;
  • Help evolve a marketing strategy for the Residential Conveyancing Team;
  • Be fully engaged with the firm’s marketing strategy and be prepared to attend marketing events, produce marketing literature, etc;
  • Have worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Conveyancing Experience an understanding of Stamp Duty preferred.

Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary

My Client is urgently looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their busy team.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1-2 years working in a Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary department.

The main duties will include:-

•Opening new client matters

•Land registry portal

•Dealing with post completions

•Updating the case management system

•Typing legal correspondence

•Completing relevant forms

•Client liaison

•Providing support where necessary

Residential Conveyancer

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must be qualified with a minimum of two-three experience in the field working as a residential conveyancer (Solicitor or CILEX);
  • Should able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixed residential property conveyancing caseload, with minimum supervision;
  • Will have the ability to work independently but also with the other staff in the Team.
  • Must be able to generate their own referrals in order to create their own client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm;
  • Be able to help evolve a marketing strategy for the Residential Conveyancing Team;
  • Be fully engaged with the firm’s marketing strategy and be prepared to attend marketing events, produce marketing literature etc;
  • Have worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel.

Essential Skills:

The appointed individual must have:

  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • A commercial and creative mindset;
  •  Proven ability to work to deadlines;
  • Good IT skills, preferably with experience in case management systems;
  • Track-record of producing effective marketing campaigns and relationship building to introduce new work into the department.
  • An ability to generate their own client base.
